What is blended learning?



Blended learning is a term who applies to the practice to use online and in-person learning experiences at the time of teaching students. In some case, online classes may be replaced or only supplement by online experiences and the students learning the same topics as they do normally. It is also called hybrid learning.

Online learning provided the chance of learning in an existing school and also help the students to work independently on the lessons, and they only meeting teachers when they have to discuss their work or just ask questions. So, we can say that the students spend time in a traditional school building but they spend their time working online and independently with instruction of his teachers.



The popularity of blended learning is increased the last decade. It is more widely used despite of the fact that some schools stay recluctant for a number of several reasons, having a resistance of change. With the fact that digital learning technologies are relatively new, some schools are forced to adapting the way of they have been instructed and interacted with students.

As we mentioned before, blended learning offers possibilities depending of the quality and the blended-learning model that they have. The students work independantly and at their own pace but they have access to the assistence, knowledge and resoruces that only a teacher can provides. It also helps the teacher to deliver classes with flexibility and creativity, spending less time giving whole-class lessons and more time helping students with learning problems. Blended learning allows schools to teach students more efficiently and at a lower cost.

The most interesting fact of blended learning is that the students only worked on his own objects with the supervision of the teachers. So, the students would learning self-discipline, self-motivation and habits that they need later.
